Master of Social Work (MSW)

‚ÄčThe Master of Social Work (MSW) program at Northwest Nazarene University offers the working professional an opportunity to complete a master's degree through an extended program of study with classes being offered evenings and weekends. This program is ideal for those with work and/or family responsibilities. Students admitted at the Generalist level may complete their course work in two and one-half years (seven semesters) while students admitted at the Advanced Standing level may complete their course work in one and one-half years (four semesters). Please note that the MSW program goes year round and includes fall, spring, and summer semesters.

The program utilizes a cohort model for core courses and supports an interactive learning environment as well as collegiality throughout the student's course work. The primary goal of the program is to prepare students for advanced social work practice in rural and small town settings, both domestic and international.

The MSW program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
